   Let's support the forests of Beaufortain together!   

 

Aware of the importance of forests for our environment and our living conditions, the Agence du Grand Mont has chosen to support Sylv'ACCTES, an association that promotes sustainable and responsible forest management.

Since 2021, Sylv'ACCTES has been actively working in the forests of the Arlysère region – including those of Beaufortain – to promote forests that are more resilient to climate change.
Thanks to these actions, 287 hectares have already benefited from virtuous forestry work, representing more than £456,217.13 invested in biodiversity and sustainability.

 

  Why support this project?   

 

The forests of Beaufortain play an essential role:

• They protect soil and water resources, particularly in mountainous areas.

• They are home to valuable biodiversity (fauna, flora, fungi, etc.).

• They offer an incomparable living and recreational environment for everyone.

The actions supported by Sylv’ACCTES aim to:

• Diversify forest species (beech, maple, birch, rowan, oak, etc.) to strengthen resistance to climate change and optimise its capacity to support forest biodiversity in the broadest sense.

• Renew high-altitude forests weakened by climate change and insect attacks (such as bark beetles).

• Enhance the value of lowland and foothill forests by promoting the diversity and quality of timber.

• Provide local, sustainable and renewable wood for the craft and energy sectors.
